Hi Emily, I agree that digital divide can be detrimental to students who are unable to afford or access technology outside of the classroom because it causes them to fall behind their peers who do have access to it. It is also important for them to learn to use technology in today's society because we rely heavily on it to communicate with others and function.
Hey Emily! I think your experience with Twitter thus far has been equally as beneficial as my own. I think that any form of communication online can be helpful to build relationships among teachers (or whomever in your field) and to share resources and forms of education. Due to the variations in socioeconomic status, computers and tablets should be accessible to all students and teachers as it is crucial they have that equal opportunity
I agree that Twitter is great for sending out resources, and allowing a lot of people to see them at once. I love that aspect, because you can see other resources from other users.
Hi Emily, I also can relate being that I never really used Twitter before this class. It has been very helpful in keeping up to date with events going on around me that. I also agree that Twitter use as an adult can benefit your career in many ways!
Great Post! I agree that later when we get jobs it really depends on where we work to see if there is a digital divide. At my school we were all required to have iPads outside of school.
I really enjoyed listening to your blog post! I am also a Family and Child Sciences major and completely agree with the things you had to say and the role that twitter can play for your future.
